This is what happens when you go to school and learn new things, you figure out how to put some fun into it.  I know how my students feel, its much better learning something that's fun and useful instead of something that's going to be baried in the back of the brain only to be pulled out at test time. Thank you Dr. Cowan, my sons are so proud of my new skills. Hollywood here I come.

It snowed yesterday and today is snow day for all the schools.  Now for someone like me who has never shied away from the phrase, "watch this," this kind of day makes me want to forget I have a huge requirement for my class that needs  to be finished.  Yes the skis were once again calling my name and how could I resist the temptation. We may not have a large hill in our backyard but when you live in Northern Alabama any hill will do.  Besides, we figured the grounds keepers for the golf course would not appreciate skis messing up the grass under all that wonderful white stuff.  They're really Pete's Skis because I don't want to mess up the bottoms of mine. You add a little Boston and there you have it, life in the fast lane as the Eagles would say, "surely makes you lose your mind."

Of course first we had to do the school work before we had the fun, but it was worth it.  Happy Snow Day.
